We've been working on an exciting collaboration for some months now, and today it goes public! Our first episode with podcast Prognosis Ohio features Fellow Hope and our policy findings in the State of Ohio Health and Human Services fact sheets, released last week, in advance of the gubernatorial election.
Listen to the episode
Hosted by Columbus local and health policy professor Dan Skinner, Prognosis Ohio is a biweekly forum engaging with all manners of health, health care, and health policy and politics in Ohio. Highlighting a wide range of health and healthcare issues, Dan addresses changing legislative developments, stories of Ohioans interacting with the healthcare system, and ongoing challenges in social determinants of health. His commitment to research and advocacy aligns with our mission at Community Solutions, and we’re excited to develop this collaboration over the coming months. We’ll let you know when a Community Solutions-supported episode drops (but better to subscribe!).
In the foreground and background
What will this new project look like? A lot like it does already! Dan is a well-established and respected expert in the field, quickly crafting Prognosis Ohio into a regular stop for advocates, non-profit leaders, and policymakers in Ohio health and healthcare. Community Solutions will offer support with data and background, as well as guest spots. We will share important reports and research to inform emerging stories that Dan's team is working on. Senior Fellow Loren Anthes, a frequent guest, has offered takes on current developments around the state, and such policy analysis will continue with occasional appearances from other experts on the team. Loren said, "Prognosis Ohio is the go-to resource on all things Ohio health policy. Dan is not only an expert on health policy, but he provides an even-handed, unbiased approach to his exploration of issues that resonates with our work at Community Solutions and should resonate with anyone interested in these issues in the Ohio Statehouse."
