One of the goals of our work with the GCARP Coalition is to increase capacity for advocacy in Greater Cleveland, particularly among community-based nonprofits. The people and organizations who are on the ground have deep insight into what the community needs to improve conditions, and those voices are important to policymakers who consider how best to position the community for recovery.
How does an organization qualify for Advocacy Grants?
In order to qualify for a grant, nonprofits must be currently engaged in advocacy, or planning to engage in advocacy in the coming months. The planned advocacy activities should be connected to one or more of the ten policy priorities that our GCARP Coalition has identified as key to a holistic, equitable recovery for Greater Cleveland.
Grantees will be provided with opportunities to build their capacity for advocacy work with training and support from The Center for Community Solutions staff.
