Last month, Ohio legislators passed an emergency coronavirus legislation (House Bill 197) extending the March 17 primary election to April 28. With this legislation, the majority of voters will be voting by mail with limited in-person available for a select few.
How to vote
Vote-by-mail. Eligible voters who were registered to vote by February 18 and did not early or absentee vote may request a vote-by-mail application by noon, April 25. To print a vote-by-mail request form, visit www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/absentee-ballot/. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by April 27 and received by the board of elections by May 8.

In-person voting. Will take place on April 28 at boards of elections early vote centers only. It will also be limited to individuals with disabilities who require in-person voting and those who do not have a home mailing address.
