The Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Task Force is a collaborative of individuals and organizations committed to advancing policies and initiatives that continuously improve perinatal mental health access-to-care and treatment. Natasha will chair Equity and Inclusivity in the Policy and Regulation strategic area

The Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Task Force has five strategic area action teams (SAATs): research and data, public awareness, screening and identification, treatment and support, and policy and regulation.

She will ensure that Policy and Regulation project strategies, methods, and outcomes are receptive to the needs of diverse populations.

Natasha, Treuhaft Fellow for Health Planning at The Center for Community Solutions, has been appointed the Equity and Inclusivity Chair in the Policy and Regulation Strategic Area. She will ensure that Policy and Regulation project strategies, methods, and outcomes are receptive to the needs of diverse populations.

The purpose of the Policy and Regulation Strategic Action Team is to support, promote, and resource policy and advocacy initiatives that streamline and operationalize screening practices, address barriers to equitable access and care, and support perinatal mental health providers and support services workforce. The Policy and Regulation Strategic Action Team also plans to protect funding for a statewide stakeholder group to address perinatal mental health and education.

Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Task Force Mission

The task force’s mission is that Ohio be one of the leading states in the country in perinatal mental health education and access-to-care and treatment. The Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Task Force is one of the strategy teams within Ohio Council to Advance Maternal Health (OH-CAMH) and the Mental Health America of Ohio.
