Since early April, The Center for Community Solutions partnered with Advocates for Ohio’s Future to host Friday webinars about how health and human services have been impacted by COVID-19. A range of leaders at the federal, state and local levels shared how the safety net has responded to help Ohioans in need during the dual public health and economic crises. Our weekly webinars covered A LOT of topics and gave viewers a deeper understanding about how things have changed and continue to adapt in this ever-evolving, unprecedented time that we’re all experiencing. By beginning these webinars at the beginning of the stay-at-home order we were able to learn what was happening on the ground from advocates and service providers as the pandemic unfolded in Ohio. The audience spanned health and human services nonprofits, local/county agencies, direct service providers and policy/advocacy organizations from around the state and the nation. As we continue to experience all that this public health crisis brings, we can all learn from the information shared during our webinar series.
