At their final meeting of 2021, the Center for Community Solutions Board of Directors voted to appoint four new members to the board. They are Margie Glick, Bridget Harrison, Douglas Lumpkin and Michael G. Riley. Board President, David Miller, Ph.D., commented “we are so pleased to welcome such a distinguished group of leaders to our board of directors; they each have strong private and public experience that will be critical to their role as board members.”

 The insights and knowledge these new board members will bring to the organization is unparalleled; I can’t wait for them to be a part of our deliberations and conversations.

Margie Glick

Margie Glick, Director of Advocacy at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) is a 50-year-old non-profit providing innovative social enterprise job-training, civic engagement strategies and safety net services for the city of Cleveland and across northeastern Ohio. Prior to joining Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, Margie held positions with the Higher Education Compact of Greater Cleveland, Vanderbilt University, and was a Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Bridget Harrison, Director of Policy and Strategic Engagement at UnitedHealth Group

UnitedHealth Group is an American multinational managed healthcare and insurance company offering health care products and insurance services. Previously Bridget had served as an Assistant Policy Director, Health and Human Services for Governor Mike DeWine, an Assistant Policy Director for Governor John Kasich, as a Health Insurance Specialist for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, State Innovation Group, and as a Health and Human Services Policy Advisor to Ohio Speaker of the House, William Batchelder.

Douglas Lumpkin

Douglas Lumpkin, owner and CEO at InterConnections Consulting Group

InterConnections Consulting Group, helping business and non-profit organizations navigate the world of government. He has experience in nearly every aspect of government; serving at the highest levels of major urban counties and state government including working with Governor John Kasich, Governor Ted Strickland, then Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery, and others.

Michael Riley

Michael G. Riley, member at McDonald Hopkins

Mike works with executives, directors and business owners to negotiate, design and implement incentive compensation programs. Mike also works with professionals and entrepreneurs in the areas of compensation, succession planning, and estate planning. He is a past chair of the Board of Directors or Recovery Resources and currently is a Director of the Cleveland Metropolitan Board Foundation.

David Miller, Ph.D., Jack, Joseph & Morton Mandel School Applied Social Science. Case Western Reserve University continues as Board Chair. Heather Stoll, Sisters of Charity Health System was elected as Treasurer. Jenice Contreras, Hispanic Business Center and the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was re-elected as Secretary. Genesis Brown, Hyland Software, Kyle Miller, Dominion Energy Ohio, and Seth Reimer, Stanford Road Advisors were all re-elected as Vice-Chairs.
