Emily Campbell has been appointed chief operating officer for The Center for Community Solutions. In this new role she will oversee all the research, policy, and administration related activities of the organization. Emily Muttillo has been appointed as the new Williamson Family Fellow for Applied Research and will serve as director of the Community Solutions research team.

Emily Campbell has worked on poverty research, HHS funding, and consulting initiatives

Emily Campbell Chief Operating Officer

Emily Campbell previously served as an Associate Director, Senior Fellow and held the Williamson Family Fellow for Applied Research for a decade. Since joining Community Solutions in 2007, her research has included work on poverty, the benefit cliff, and public and private funding of health and social services.  

Campbell previously worked for a U.S. Congressperson, and she has consulted with numerous nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies to provide data and public policy decision support. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of The Literacy Cooperative and was named one of Cleveland's “Forty Under 40” by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University.

Emily Muttillo has focused on aging issues and research on older adults

Emily Muttillo joined Community Solutions in 2016. As a research fellow, she has led numerous conducted research on topics including long-term care, adult protective services, and senior tax levies. She has both public and non-profit experience including working for the City of Cleveland Department of Aging and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.  

Emily currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the West Side Community House and as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland West Side Villages. She is also an active member of the Healthy Neighborhoods Committee of the Cleveland Department of Health and the Partnerships and Services Committee of the Cleveland Food Bank. Muttillo received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Master of Public Administration from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University.
