Kirwan Institute Dr. Ange-Marie Hancock to deliver Celebration 2024 keynote
A globally recognized scholar of intersectionality theory, Ange-Marie Hancock is Executive Director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at The Ohio State University, where she also serves as ENGIE-Axium Endowed Professor of Political Science. Lila Mills, editor-in-chief at Signal Cleveland, is our Celebration emcee
With a 25-year career in both journalism and community building, Lila runs an 18-person newsroom at Signal Cleveland. The newsroom also has a Cleveland Documenters program that trains and pays Greater Clevelanders to be part of the news gathering process by attending and taking notes at local government meetings. More than 950 Greater Clevelanders have signed up to be Cleveland Documenters, with at least one Documenter in almost every ZIP code in the county.
